The Utah Microenterprise Loan Fund is holding an Applicant Orientation on how small business entrepreneurs, especially those who are socially or economically disadvantaged, can receive loans of up to $10,000 dollars. The orientation is Thursday, January 15th at 3:00 p.m. at 3595 South Main Street. To register call 269-8408.

DoxTek is working with CPA firm Jack & Company to replace its current document storage and retrieval system with an electronic management solution to more efficiently manage client tax records. DoxTek is using a document scanner and scanning software to convert Jack & Company’s paper tax records, such as W2 forms, into electronic images. The firm then can use management software to index and search scanned records.

Unishipper recently announced that, effective today, Unishipper clients who use Airborne Express will no longer be charged a pick up fee.

A group of concerned human resource leaders organized the Local Employers for the Advancement of Diversity or LEAD. LEAD has now found a home as a standing committee at the Chamber. A reception is planned for this afternoon at 3:30 p.m. to welcome LEAD to the Chamber. Teresa Martinez will speak on the advantages of diversity in the workplace.
