ASCOLI PICENO, Italy (AP) — A state funeral is being held in Italy for some of the victims of this week's devastating earthquake. Authorities say the death toll has risen yet again as bodies continue to be recovered. It now stands at 290.

LEXINGTON, Miss. (AP) — A suspect has been arrested and charged with murder in the slayings of two Mississippi nuns. The women were found dead after they'd failed to show up for work at a clinic in Lexington, about 10 miles from where they lived.

CHICAGO (AP) — A family spokesman says a cousin of Chicago Bulls star Dwyane Wade was fatally shot while pushing her baby in a stroller on the city's South Side. Wade posted on Twitter that "4 kids lost their mom for NO REASON. Unreal." The baby was unhurt.

MOSCOW (AP) — Russia's emergency services say a fire swept through a printing plant's warehouse in Moscow, killing 17 migrant workers from Kyrgyzstan (KEER'-gih-stan). The emergency services say the fire was caused by a faulty lamp in the warehouse.

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) — Malaysian student activists led a rally today to demand the arrest of the country's prime minister. Najib Razak (NAH'-jihb RAH'-zahk) has been implicated in a U.S. government probe into massive fraud in a Malaysian investment fund.
