Intermountain Health Care has announced new programs and donations valued at about two million dollars to help Utah schools prepare more nurses and other health professionals. IHC will be working the Departments of Nursing at Salt Lake Community College, Utah Valley State College, and Weber State University.

According to an article in the Enterprise, a recent survey by Vertis has found that consumers are shopping online more than ever. Fifty-seven percent of people with Internet access say they have made a purchase from a website. This is a 39 percent increase since 1998 and a 15 percent increase since 2000.

If you are interested in some of the international trade missions that are coming up—such as trips to Mexico City, Athens, Tokyo, Beijing, Stockholm, and other countries, go to trademissions.utah.gov or call the International Trade division at the Chamber at 328-5071.

A new book has been authored by Parsons Behle & Latimer attorneys Mark Glock and Lara Reymann and Salt Lake accountant Richard Hoffman. Intellectual Property Damages: Guidelines and Analysis covers the basics of intellectual property and how to calculate damages.
