SALT LAKE CITY — On a beautiful summer day you will find 14-year-old Gabriel, or Gabe, enjoying the more simple things in life.

It's the simplicity of playing outside and singing that he loves.

And he loves his caseworker from the Department of Child and Family Services. His caseworker thinks Gabe is pretty special too.

“He is absolutely amazing. He makes my heart happy,” said the caseworker.

Gabe is a sweet boy with a childlike mentality who loves just about anything.

“I like swimming pool parks, and I like Legos and swimming toys,” Gabe said.

It hasn't always been easy for Gabe. He's been in foster care system for six years, and is now on his third foster home.

“He can be a challenge because we're dealing with both autism and lower functioning,” his caseworker said.

He doesn't let that stop him from loving life - and like they say in Mary Poppins, one of Gabe’s favorites — he's "Practically Perfect in every way."

“He is a very happy kid, he's really sweet,” his caseworker said.

What would make this kid even more happy? Finding his forever home.

“What would Gabe bring to an adoptive family? A lot of love,” his caseworker said.
