UNDATED (AP) — Because of his out-of-the-pool antics, Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte (LAHK'-tee) has lost four sponsors. Pulling the plug on his support today were Speedo, Ralph Lauren (LOHR'-ehn) a skin care company along with a foreign mattress company. Lochte was caught in a lie about a robbery that brought embarrassment to the entire U.S. Olympic team.

LONG POND, Pa. (AP) — The scheduled IndyCar race for yesterday in Long Pond, Pennsylvania, was held today because of heavy rain on Sunday. The winner was Will Power with Mikhail Aleshin second. The win is the fourth this season for Power and 29th of his career.

BALTIMORE (AP) — The Washington Nationals have put pitcher Stephen Strasburg on the disabled list with right elbow soreness. This marks his second stint on the DL this season. After starting the season 15-1, Strasburg has lost his last three starts with an earned run average in that span of 14.66.

CINCINNATI (AP) — It was a home run derby in the major's only day game. Adrian Gonzalez hit three of the Dodgers' seven homers leading Los Angeles to an 18-9 victory and a split of its four-game series with the Cincinnati Reds. The NL West leaders enjoyed their biggest home run splurge in 10 years.

ASHBURN, Va. (AP) — Matt Jones will miss the rest of the preseason with a left shoulder injury, but the Washington Redskins hope their top running back will be ready for the start of the regular season. Coach Jay Gruden said Jones will be held out of the Redskins' final two preseason games after spraining his shoulder Friday against the New York Jets.
