THIS IS MICHAEL DE GROOTE FROM THE SALT LAKE CHAMBER, WITH YOUR METRO BUSINESS REPORT

Election Day is tomorrow. The Salt Lake Chamber urges you to study the issues and vote for the candidate that will best represent you, your business, and your community. The Chamber Board of Governors does not endorse specific candidates or political parties. However, the Chamber does have a Chamber Political Action Committee, a separate committee that independently raises and disburses funds to political candidates that members of the Chamber PAC view as supportive of business positions.

The American Express Women & Business Conference is this Thursday, November 7th. There will be great workshops and, at the Athena Award Luncheon (sponsored by Wells Fargo Women’s Financial Services), the Chamber will give the prestigious Athena Award and the Pathfinder Awards. This year’s Athena winner is Susan Glasmann of Questar. Susan’s nominator, CEO and President of Questar Regulated Services Co., Nick Rose says, “One thing that stands out in Susan’s style is that she is a leader people enjoy following and working with. She is tough, but fair and respectful of all.” To register for the conference, call the Chamber at 328-5091 or see us on the web at saltlakechamber.org.
