This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.

For more than 50 years, the Office Equipment Company in Price has been Eastern Utahís source for office supplies. But after a recent visit with owners Curtis Steele and Scott Sjostrom, I learned the company has undergone some considerable changes and they are things that will please their current clients even more.

Curtis and Scott told me that they have just finalized remodeling a new building across the street from their current location. The new site gives them four times more display area, which includes expanded space for an improved scrapbook section, more than 1,000 square feet for high end gifts and a showroom for more than 40 new desks and office furniture. In fact, the new showroomójust for the office furnitureóis as large as the old store across the street.

And with the move, theyíre changing the name. The Office Equipment Co. will now be known as Office Etc., a fitting title for a company that now offers more than office equipment.

I remember when I first met Curtis and Scott a few years ago. I learned then that Curtisí father Duane started the company back in the late 1940s and that Curtis and Scott took over in 1983. Even back then, they were serving as the ìcomplete office outfitterîóa concept that has become increasingly prevalent with some of the giant nationwide stores. But Curtis and Scott have aptly outdone the competition, getting the upper hand in price, service, advice and trouble shooting. And they often beat corporate centralized purchasing services, too.

Like the Office Equipment Co., Office Etc. will continue selling office supplies, computers, copiers and other equipment to clients in Price and throughout eastern Utah. It will also provide walk-in copying services for folks nearby.

So, Iím happy to report these exciting changes for the new Office Etc. in Price, and I wish my friends Curtis Steele and Scott Sjostrom another successful 50 years in the office equipment and supplies business.

For Zions Bank, Iím Fred Ball. I'm speaking on business.
