BLUFFTON, S.C. (AP) — A South Carolina woman will be wearing the wedding dress she planned to get married in this weekend at her funeral.
The Island Packet of Hilton Head reports (http://bit.ly/2by4l8r) 41-year-old Stacey Evette Bond's family and friends who were expecting to gather Saturday to celebrate her nuptials will instead be celebrating her life at Campbell Chapel A.M.E. Church.
Bond died Aug. 12 while returning home from Augusta, Georgia, when she had what was described as a panic attack. Hampton County Coroner Ernie Washington Jr. says the cause of death is pending toxicology results.
Bond's fiance, Guy A. Weaver, says she'd been planning the wedding since last year and found the perfect dress in Atlanta.
Her mother, Elizabeth Lovell, says Saturday will be a wedding celebration because that's what Bond would have wanted.
