GOODING, Idaho (AP) — Authorities say the 32-year-old driver of a utility recreational vehicle has died and two passengers sustained injuries in a crash in the southcentral Idaho town of Gooding.

Idaho State Police say Kurtis J. Borda of Gooding died following the crash at about 2 a.m. Thursday.

Police say Borda was driving eastbound on Roosevelt Street at a high rate of speed and lost control when he turned north onto Oregon Street.

Police say the utility vehicle flipped and ejected Borda and two passengers.

Police say Borda died at the scene and the two passengers were transported by private vehicle to an area hospital.

Police say alcohol is a factor in the crash.
