RENO, Nev. (AP) — Prison officials say a 27-year-old Nevada inmate who walked away from a work camp in Carson City has been arrested in Reno.

The Nevada Department of Corrections says Ricardo Soria Valencia was recaptured a little before 2 a.m. Tuesday and returned to Northern Nevada Correctional Center.

Valencia had been reported missing Sunday morning from the minimum-security Stewart Conservation Camp.

Officials say he was serving a 2-to-5 year sentence for drug and stolen vehicle possession convictions earlier this year in Washoe County.
