Southern Utah is really quite a remarkable place. I really think that many times we who live in the State fail to recognize the great beauty and opportunity that we can enjoy in beautiful color country.
If you haven't been to Kanab recently, now would be a great opportunity to enjoy great weather and not see the large crowds that visit that city during the summer months. If you are looking for a great and unique place to stay, consider the Victorian Charm Inn. This property is located right on Highway 89 and is a beautiful, comfortable place to use as a headquarters as you explore the Kanab area. Ray and Luella Barton, the owners, use the theme: "Your Home for Tonight," because they want their guests to truly be comfortable and feel "at home."
All of the rooms are different and unique. Each is furnished with fine Ethan Allen pieces and the rooms feature two person spas and a fireplace. This is a new property but was designed and constructed to have an authentic look and feel of a gracious Victorian mansion. There is a white picket fence around the property and the exterior, interior and all of the furnishings and décor take you back to that long ago era.
Ray told me that the property has been very popular and not just for overnight guests. Locals are using the Victorian Charm Inn for wedding receptions, anniversaries and other special occasion gatherings.
Ray and Luella bring great experience and expertise to the owner/management role. Ray is an electrical engineer and had previously served as a general manager of a motel. He cautioned me to not call the property a "bed and breakfast." He said that although they do have a breakfast menu available, he likes to stress the .. "Inn as Your Home for Tonight."
Yes, it is a great time to enjoy the fall weather in Kanab and a great time to experience the Victorian Charm Inn.
