LAS VEGAS (AP) — A Las Vegas police officer has been arrested on child pornography charges and placed on administrative leave.
Police said in a statement Saturday that Officer Ruben Delgadillo was taken into custody without incident Friday after search warrants were served at a Las Vegas residence.
He was booked into the Clark County Jail on suspicion of one count of possession and one count of distribution of child pornography.
Delgadillo joined the force in July 2015 and is assigned to the northwest Community Policing Division.
He was being held Saturday on $25,000 bail. It's not clear if he has a lawyer or will be appointed one.
