The National Commercial Builders Council awarded the National Association of Home Builders Merit Award to R&O Construction for its work on the Weber State University Elizabeth Dee Shaw Stewart Stadium Sky Box and Press Facility. R&O’s award was one of only 33 nationwide.
Workers Compensation Fund is hosting two safety seminars next week at their office. On September 5 they are offering Ergonomics for the Workplace at 8:30 a.m. and Respitory Protection at 10:15 a.m. For more information contact the Workers Compensation Fund at 288-8105.
The Utah Public Service Commission ruled that it will allow Questar Gas to recover natural gas processing costs of $3.76 million dollars that the commission had previously denied.
Here’s a Chamber history fact: In 1913, because of debts incurred in building the posh Commercial Club Building, the Chamber didn’t have enough money to pay its taxes. To solve the problem, the Chamber approached the various religious denominations asking for donations.
Many things happened 100 years ago. For example it is the 100th anniversary of Ansel Adams’ birth.
