THIS IS LARRY MANKIN, PRESIDENT OF THE SALT LAKE CHAMBER, WITH YOUR METRO BUSINESS REPORT

Christopherson Travel Group was awarded the contract to provide all travel management services for Shipley Associates, a full-service business development consulting company based in Farmington.

DoxTek is working with the BankCard Application Processing Center of Zions Bank to implement a system that will allow Zions’ customer service representatives to more quickly serve the needs of their clients. The new DoxTek system allows Zions to scan bankcard applications directly into the bank’s computer system.

Salt Lake City International Airport statistics report 1,698,998 passengers used the airport in June. This is down 4.76 percent from last year.

Here’s a Chamber History Fact: In 1978 the Chamber supported moving the location of the Utah State Fair to the new Salt Palace. Reaction, however, was strongly against the move. 2002 is the 100th year the Utah State Fair has been at the State Fairgrounds.

You may have noticed a lot of things turning 100 this year such as the Rambler Automobile and Congress’ establishment of a permanent U.S. Census Office. It’s also the Salt Lake Chamber’s 100th Anniversary and on September 14th we are coming together for a Century Celebration Gala at the Little America. Stoel Rives and Questar sponsor the event. At the Gala we will honor over 100 of the people who gave extraordinary volunteer service to the Chamber. Call the Chamber now to reserve your space at 328-5050 or see us on the web at saltlakechamber.org.
