THIS IS LARRY MANKIN FROM THE SALT LAKE CHAMBER WITH YOUR METRO BUSINESS REPORT

The Economic Development Corporation of Utah announced the completion of a major renovation to its website at www.edcUTAH.org. The site offers current statistics and business sources and is targeted to site location consultants and corporate decision makers.

Three Stantec employees, Seth Briggs, Tavis Timothy, and Karen White, were recently honored with five-year service plaques.

Electronic Textbooks are now in use at Utah’s University of Phoenix. These e-textbooks can save more than 50% over regular print textbooks—and are easier for the authors to quickly update.

The Children’s Museum of Utah is still operating at 840 North 300 West until it closes in early 2004. The new location of the Children’s Museum will then be in the Gateway and will open in early 2005.

Here’s a Chamber History Fact: In 1978 the Salt Lake Chamber introduced the first Business After Hours networking event. It set the model for other chambers across the nation.

Business After Hours, the Chamber’s monthly networking event, is tonight at 5p.m. at Nascart Indoor Speedway. You won’t want to miss what is not only the fastest way to get new business relationships—but the fastest indoor speed adventure. To register for the networking, prizes, food, and fun, call the Chamber at 328-5050 or see our event calendar on the web at saltlakechamber.org.
