The Chamber’s Downtown Committee has developed principles for downtown development. Guideline one is: “The vitality of the downtown area is dependent upon a strong user population base. The Salt Lake Chamber will encourage quality, multi-use downtown development such as offices and housing that will increase both the daytime and nighttime population of the downtown area. The Chamber will encourage projects that promote easy access to and movement throughout the downtown.”

The Utah Microenterprise Loan Fund is holding an orientation on how small business entrepreneurs, especially those who are socially or economically disadvantaged, can obtain small business loans of up to $10,000. The orientation is Wednesday, May 29th, at 3 p.m. Call 269-8408 to register.
