THIS IS LARRY MANKIN FROM THE SALT LAKE CHAMBER WITH YOUR METRO BUSINESS REPORT

Crowell Advertising, Marketing & PR will celebrate its 15th anniversary next month. This makes it one of the longest-operating ad agencies in Utah under the same ownership.

UTA is offering Summer Youth Passes for youth up to age 17.

The following Utah businessmen have been named 2002 Fathers of the Year by the Father’s Day Council of Utah: Scott Clark, Ray,Quinney & Nebeker; Mark Howell, Wells Fargo; Fred Lampropoulos, Merit Medical Systems; Don Lewon, Utah Metal Works; and Bart Warner, Freightliner. They will be honored at a dinner on June 6th at the Little America Hotel.

According to the Utah Association of REALTORS®, there was an overall decline in the number of single-family homes sold during the first quarter of 2002 compared to last year.

Here’s a Chamber History Fact: When the Salt Lake Chamber was organized in 1902, it was called the Commercial Club. Salt Lake’s top 100 business leaders were called together by Governor Heber Wells to organize the Club “having for its sole object the promotion of the business interests of Salt Lake City and Utah.”

The Chamber’s most patriotic event of the year is the Salt Lake Military Salute on June 15th. Join us in honoring our brave citizen/soldiers who put their lives on hold to protect our freedom. For more information call the Chamber at 328-5080 or see us on the web at saltlakechamber.org.
