The Chamber notes with sadness the passing of Thayne Robson, noted economist and long-time supporter of Chamber programs. We extend our condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. Thayne’s humour, intelligence, and friendship will be missed.
The recruitment activities of the Economic Development Corporation of Utah have had 57 active clients in the last year--including 23 Manufacturing companies, 12 business services companies, 7 Financial Services companies, and 7 Distribution/Warehouse companies. Other companies interested in Utah include Information Technology companies, Medical companies, and companies seeking to move their headquarters.

Here’s a Chamber History Fact: In 1913, the Chamber began a fund-raising project to capitalize on Utah’s growing civic prize. They ordered 25,000 buttons that said, “I’m for Utah” and used school children to sell them around the state.
For decades hoards of happy Salt Lakers would take the train out to Saltair for a day of fun. This Thursday, May 23rd, hoards of eager business professionals will drive out to The Great Saltair for an evening of networking, food, and prizes.
