R&O Construction has begun work on a $5 million dollar Wal-Mart project in Burley, Idaho.

Union Point General Contractors began work on a $7 million dollar elementary school for the Nebo School District. Hobble Creek Elementary will be 88,000 square feet and will be completed in April of 2003.

Big-D Construction will build a new corporate headquarters for Mountain America Credit Union. The 10,000 square foot facility will be located at Jordan Landing, 7181 South Campus Drive in West Jordan. The anticipated completion date is Fall of 2003.

The Securities and Exchange Commission has declared the merger registration statement effective between ClearOne Communications and E.mergent Inc. E.mergent stockholders will vote on the merger at the end of May.

Salt Lake Community College is holding the grand opening of The Metro Learning Center tomorrow, May 17th from 7:30 am to 9 a.m. at 115 South Main Street. The new center has 4,500 square feet of conference space, seven classrooms, four computer labs, two conference rooms, and a dining reception area.
