Right now, the Women’s Business Day Luncheon is underway at the Little America Hotel. The Chamber congratulates the 30 Women that are being honored.
The University of Phoenix recently held the largest graduation ever for its Utah Campus. 568 degrees were awarded. 295 Bachelor’s Degrees and 273 Master’s Degrees were given. Utah enrollment is currently at an all-time high of over 3,000.
Mountain America Credit Union recently donated $3,000 dollars in scholarships to local students. The recipients are Utah Public Employees Association members or their families.
Christine Cook Keating, marketing manager for Stantec Consulting, recently earned her Certified Professional Services Marketer designation from the Society for Marketing Professional Services. Keating is one of only 200 marketing professionals in the country and the first in Utah to receive this designation.
Coldwell Banker Commercial NRT has relocated its headquarters to the Old Mill Corporate Center number 2 at 6340 South 3000 East. The move is a result of the merger last year between the commercial operations of Coldwell Banker Premier Realty and Mansell and Associates.
Here’s a Chamber History Fact: In 1939, the Chamber’s Winter Sports Committee announced that the Denver & Grande Railroad would invest $25,000 dollars to help develop Alta as a ski resort.
