THIS IS LARRY MANKIN FROM THE SALT LAKE CHAMBER WITH YOUR METRO BUSINESS REPORT.
Several Salt Lake businesses report personnel changes. The law firm of Van Cott, Bagley, Cornwall & McCarthy announced that Tacy Hartman and Mark Wagner have become shareholders in its Salt Lake Office. Van Boerum & Frank Associates appointed Byron Torgersen and Jeffrey Watkins as Associate Principals. Intermountain Health Care has named Warren Benincosa as the new administrator of IHC’s 20-bed Sanpete Valley Hospital in Mt. Pleasant. He replaces George Winn, who recently accepted a position at a hospital in Oregon. Christopherson Travel Group recently hired Doreen Lopez as a Leisure Travel Specialist.
Computer Power Technology, an e-building and consulting company, recently changed their name to Intellivex.
Here’s a Chamber history fact: In the beginning of 1915, the Chamber was still $245,000 dollars in debt from building its Commercial Club Headquarters. In today’s dollars that would be a debt of $4,375,000 dollars.
Tonight the Chamber honors Mitt Romney as A Giant In Our City. Mitt’s gift to Salt Lake cannot fully be measured yet—for the impact of the Games will continue for years to come. His name will be forever linked with that Olympic legacy. His leadership was world class, and involved personal and family sacrifice we will never wholly appreciate. So on behalf of the Salt Lake Chamber and the Community, “Thanks Mitt for a job well done and good luck with all your future plans.” For more information on Chamber events and programs see us on the web at saltlakechamber.org.
