The Chamber’s Business to Business Expo is May 8th, 9th, and 10th at the Salt Palace.

The 2002 DECA International Career Development Conference will be held in Salt Lake later this month. This is a major international event bringing together 12,000 marketing students for competition in marketing and business. DECA is looking for business professionals to act as judges for student competitions. Being a judge for this event is a great way to help shape the future of business. It’s also a lot of fun. Big-D Construction will begin construction this month on a $10.5 million dollar addition to the Lucybeth Rampton Adult Services Building at the Utah State Hospital in Provo. The new wing adds 116 new beds. It will be completed in August 2003.

Granite Construction Company was recently awarded a job to reconstruct fourteen roads in Murray City.

Here’s an Olympic business fact: According to The Enterprise, a survey by the Downtown Alliance showed that the downtown businesses that did the best during the Games were food services, Olympic retailers, and hotels.
