LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — Wyoming coach Allen Edwards has added a 6-foot-4, 185-pound junior college transfer to the roster.

Guard Louis Adams signed a letter of intent to play for the Cowboys next season. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.

Edwards says Adams brings edge, energy and excitement to Wyoming.

A native of Chicago, Adams helped lead Odessa College in Texas to its first NJCAA National Tournament since 2011. He averaged 11.9 points per game to go along with 3.5 rebounds. He shot 53 percent from the field and 72 percent from the free throw line.
