The West Valley City Fraternal Order of Police will sponsor its Third Annual Benefit Horseshow on Saturday, April 20th. Proceeds will benefit IHC Pediatric Home Care for children with life-limiting or terminal illness.

Subway® restaurants has opened its 16,000th location.

The Utah Department of Workforce Services is offering hands-on training and job placement in conjunction with Krispy Kreme Doughnut’s Western franchise.

Notwithstanding the increase of Olympic visitors, only 1,356,587 passengers went through Salt Lake City International Airport in February. This is down 6.3 percent from last year.

The Utah Microenterprise Loan Fund is holding an orientation on how small business entrepreneurs, especially those who are socially or economically disadvantaged, can obtain small business loans of up to $10,000. The orientation is tomorrow, April 10th, at 3:00 p.m. Call 269.8408 to register.

Here’s an Olympic business fact: According to The Enterprise, a survey by the Downtown Alliance showed that 54 percent of downtown businesses experienced an increase in sales during the Games.

On May 14th the Women’s Business Center at the Salt Lake Chamber honors “30 Women on the Move” at the Celebrating Utah Women’s Business Day Luncheon.
