The University of Utah and the Chinese Embassy is sponsoring an academic outreach delegation tour to China to develop understanding and explore business opportunities. The trip is in June and costs about $2400 per person. Contact Lilly Reed at 581-5803 for more information.
Glyphics Communications recently released two new software tools used to integrate conference calling and the Internet. Web Presenter and Pesenter-On-Demand make it possible to upload visual content—including white board functions, in real time during a conference call.
The Associated Builders and Contractors Association of Utah presented R&O Construction Company with the “Excellence in Construction” award for Government and Institutional Project of the Year. The award was for R&O’s work on the Elizabeth Dee Shaw Stewart Sky Suites Stadium and Press Box addition to Weber State.
Here’s an Olympic business fact: The temporary medical clinics set up by IHC during the Games treated patients from 94 countries. In fact, 49 percent of the clinics’ patients were from out of the country.
