General Communications is promoting several new technologies to the Utah Healthcare and Education community. Hospitals across the country are introducing “Laff Therapy” which uses interactive entertainment to improve clinical outcomes.

Tom Love, President of Love Communications, was honored by the Utah Advertising Federation with the 2002 Young Professional Award. Celia Willette Smith of Ryser Willett Advertising was also honored for 2002.

ClearOne Communications is now trading under the Nasdaq symbol CLRO, this replaces the symbol GTNR used when the company was called Gentner Communications.

Deer Valley Resort announced that the Easter Bunny will visit its Snow Park Lodge this Sunday morning, March 31st.

Here’s an Olympic business fact: During the Games, a trooper or state police officer was stationed every five miles on the interstate system. These placements enabled accidents to be cleared in almost half the normal time.

In the next few months the Chamber has several major events. On April 24th we honor Mitt Romney as A Giant In Our City. May 8th, 9th, and 10th is the Business to Business Expo at the Salt Palace. May 14th is the Women’s Business Day Luncheon. June 10th is the Chamber Classic Golf Tournament. June 15th is the Salt Lake Military Salute. All these events culminate in the year’s biggest event, The Century Celebration Gala on September 14th.
