Third & Main restaurant reports that its business was three times busier than normal during the Olympic Winter Games.

The Utah Microenterprise Loan Fund is holding an orientation on how small business entrepreneurs, especially those who are socially or economically disadvantaged, can obtain small business loans of up to $10,000. The orientation is tomorrow, Tuesday, March 5th, at 9:30 a.m. Call 269-8408 to register.

The Downtown Alliance has launched a revised and improved website at www.downtownslc.org. Several companies including NoWalls, Inc designed the site.

Salt Lake City Credit Union opened its sixth branch near Salt Lake Community College’s Sandy Campus. Salt Lake City Credit Union now has over 20,000 members, six locations, and assets over $115 million dollars.

Here’s an Olympic business fact: The Games gave us an idea of how much fun our downtown can be. The Chamber encourages people to “Keep the Spirit Alive!” by going downtown for the free entertainment that is planned each weekend evening. There is something for everyone.

Every year the Chamber honors the best small businesses in Salt Lake at the Giant Step Awards. This year’s Giant Step Awards banquet is on March 27th at the Little America Hotel.
