THIS IS LARRY MANKIN FROM THE SALT LAKE CHAMBER WITH YOUR METRO BUSINESS REPORT.

Several Salt Lake businesses report personnel changes. Questar Corporation appointed Charles Stanley as Executive Vice President and COO of Questar Market Resources. The Utah Shakespearean Festival appointed Kathleen Conlin and J.R. Sullivan as associate artistic directors. Baer Canyon Development named Jeff Oyler as a Partner and as Manager of new commercial and residential development projects.

Cache Valley Electric worked on many of the Games venues including providing the cabling at the Olympic Medals Plaza, Deer Valley, Park City, and Snowbasin.

1,502,150 passengers went through Salt Lake City International Airport in December. This is down 2.82 percent from last year.

Here’s an Olympic business fact: The Salt Lake 2002 Look of the Games program features almost 8,000 street and venue banners. The street banners are cool colors such as blue and purple. The banners leading to an Olympic venue consist of warm colors that gradually become warmer the closer you get to a venue.

The Chamber’s Century Club hospitality venue officially opened with a sold out “Welcome the World” party last Friday. Don’t miss the Century Club’s “Party to end the Party” on February 24th. Come enjoy the Game’s closing ceremonies and enjoy the amenities of the 10,000 square foot Century Club. Cost per event is $35 for Chamber members, $50 for guests. Register by calling the Chamber at 328-5043 or see us on the web at saltlakechamber.org.
