THIS IS LARRY MANKIN FROM THE SALT LAKE CHAMBER WITH YOUR METRO BUSINESS REPORT.

Several Salt Lake businesses report personnel changes. Workers Compensation Fund named Allen Goodwin as Vice President and Ben Llaneta as Assistant Vice President of its underwriting operations. Christopherson Travel Group hired Scot Moncur for its On-Site Travel Office at Evans & Sutherland, and Tonya Record as an ARC Specialist at Christopherson’s corporate headquarters. Clark Taylor has rejoined Van Cott, Bagley, Cornwall & McCarthy as a shareholder. Salt Lake Eye Associates Dr. Rachel Benator, M.D, welcomes Dr. Stella Chou, M.D. to her practice. Dr. Chou specializes in cosmetic surgery for the eyes and face.

Here’s an Olympic business fact: Spencer F. Eccles, Chairman & CEO of the Intermountain Region of Wells Fargo & Company, and recent recipient of the Chamber’s Giant In Our City Award, was selected by SLOC as the Olympic Village Mayor during the course of the Games. 27 other “Mayors of the Day” will also serve at the Olympic Village.

The Chamber’s Century Club hospitality venue officially opens with a “Welcome the World” kickoff party on February 8th. Two weeks later on February 24th, the Century Club closes with the “Party to end the Party.” Come enjoy the Game’s opening and closing ceremonies and enjoy the amenities of the 10,000 square foot Century Club. Cost per event is $35 for Chamber members, $50 for guests. Register by calling the Chamber at 328-5043 or see us on the web at saltlakechamber.org.
