This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.

You could say Camilynne Gledhill’s career in photography is turning out to be picture perfect. Having been in business for four years, she has already opened two studios—one in Provo, the other in Salt Lake’s Sugarhouse area—and her list of clients now includes people from around the country.

Camilynne gained an interest in photography from her father who enjoyed taking landscape photographs. She grew up accompanying him as he would travel the state searching for perfect shots of outdoor scenes. With each excursion, she learned something new about the technical aspects of photography. And later, after graduating from high school, she decided it was what she wanted to pursue.

After a brief time in California meeting with industry experts, Camilynne returned to Utah and rented a studio in Orem. She added equipment and lighting, and eventually moved the studio to her own home.

Since she first gained an interest in photography, Camilynne has developed her own “narrative style” of capturing life’s precious moments on film. She specializes in shooting on location—traveling to the homes and weddings of clients. She uses her two studios mainly for consultations. And like a photojournalist, she knows how to be in the right place at the right time to get that perfect shot. And besides taking pictures, Camilynne also teaches lessons on the technical aspects of photography as well as her own “narrative style.”

During a recent visit, I could see from her work, particularly in her use of black-and-white photography, that she has a real talent for revealing the candor and emotion of any situation. It’s a talent that is catching the eye of more and more people. Clients are now calling from around the country. Camilynne has photographed weddings in California, Oregon and Maine. This summer, she has been hired to shoot the wedding of a New York couple getting married in Park City. And her work has been featured on utahbrides.com, modernbride.com and Utah Bride and Groom magazine. Her own web site at camilynne.com features even more.

Well, no doubt Camilynne Photography is a booming business. But it’s what you would expect from someone whose work is picture perfect.

For Zions Bank, this is Fred Ball. I’m speaking on business.
