This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.

The first thing I said when I walked into Price Floral was "What a wonderful smell!"

Jackie Davis, the owner, greeted Erroll Holt, manager of Zions Bank in Price, and me, and she said that after so many years, she doesn't even notice the wonderful aroma of the flowers. But, I loved the smell and the feel about this wonderful shop on Main Street in Price.

Jackie is a native of North Dakota. Twenty-one years ago she came to Price when her sister called and asked if she could help out in the flower business she had purchased. Jackie had two years of floral shop experience in North Dakota and was anxious to get a fresh start in a new city. Two months after she arrived, her sister and brother-in-law left the business and Jackie has been the owner and operator ever since.

Price Floral secures their flower products from various sources all over the world. Many better quality flowers come from South America. FTD will also fill orders for the blossoms. Many come from Salt Lake City. Once the flowers arrive, Jackie puts together arrangements that are noted for their uniqueness and creative designs.

The shop is full of beautiful gift items. There are not only various kinds and sizes of containers for flower arrangements but also an abundance of artificial, permanent arrangements and other items like stuffed animals, ceramic statuary and other lovely collectibles.

I think Jackie and Price Floral offer services that very few other florists offer. For example, if Jackie is doing a wedding, she can also make beautiful wedding cakes. It's a talent she developed after several requests from her customers.

Another thing she does that I have not heard of before is she offers a service to customers who cannot personally deliver flowers to graves on Memorial Day. On that special day, Price Floral rents a large U-Haul and loads it with flower arrangements and delivers them to over 100 gravesites in the Carbon County area. Jackie then takes a photograph of each decorated grave and sends a print to the family. What a great service!

Jackie Davis and Price Floral, Inc., really go the extra mile to provide customers with great products and extra service.

For Zions Bank, I’m Fred Ball. I'm speaking on business.
