Several Salt Lake businesses report personnel changes. The Boyer Company has made Steven Ostler its new president and CEO and Devon Glenn its new COO. Roger Boyer will continue as the Boyer Company’s Chairman and Kem Gardner as its Vice-Chairman. Joe Pack, a U.S. Ski Team member, has been named as Deer Valley Resort’s “Big Air Ambassador.” Dr. Michael S. Bassis has been named as Westminster College’s new President. Gentner Communications has named three new officers on its board of directors: Angelina Beitia [bay tea uh], DeLonie Call, and Kevin Davis. Kevin Long of Stantec Consulting, has recently become one of only 86 Certified GPS Trainers in the world.
The State of Utah has received a $1.06 million dollar federal grant to create an organ donor registry, which will serve as a repository for doctors to find information about those who have committed to become organ donors.
Here’s an Olympic business fact: The Chamber’s Century Club is a 10,000 square foot hospitality venue being built for the Games. Two of the major partners that are making it possible by providing state-of-the-art furniture are Contract Furniture Gallery and Kimball.
The Office Depot Olympic Million Dollar Mixer is a kick off party to celebrate Office Depot's sponsorship of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games.
