RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Richmond police are leading an investigation into a shooting on the campus of Virginia Commonwealth University that injured one person.

VCU police said in an alert to students that the shooting happened at about 2:42 a.m. Saturday at Harrison and Broad Streets. They say the victim was transported to VCU Health System, and that the injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

The alert says the suspect was still at large and "may pose a threat to members and guests of the community." The alert also says police have increased patrols in the area.

The man who fired the shot was described as early to mid-20s and weighing about 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with a white design on front.
