According to the Wells Fargo Wasatch Front Cost of Living Report, residential utility bills along the Wasatch Front decreased 14.7 percent in September after two prior months of stability.

The David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah reports that Utah’s economy continued to expand throughout last year. For example, total personal income increased 7.7 percent and per capita personal income increased by 2.7 percent.

Zions Bank President and CEO, Scott Anderson, presented a check for $225,000 to the American Red Cross Greater Salt Lake Area Chapter. This is the total of donations from employees and customers of Zions Bank as of October 22nd.

Here’s an Olympic business fact: As part of the Games environmental initiatives, SLOC has released a video called “Salt Lake Valley Watershed and You.” The video will explain environmental concerns to Utah children.

The American Express Women & Business Conference is tomorrow, October 30th. This is the 25th year of this conference. There will be great workshops and also the giving of the prestigious Athena Award and the Pathfinder Awards. The Athena award honors professional excellence, community service, and the assisting of women in attaining professional excellence. This year’s Athena Award winner is Lori Giovannoni of LGA, Inc.
