THIS IS LARRY MANKIN FROM THE SALT LAKE CHAMBER WITH YOUR METRO BUSINESS REPORT

Ramsey Group Real Estate has moved to a larger office at the Parley’s Corporate Center at 2455 E. Parley’s Way.

Protek Security has been awarded the contract to provide the security system at Cargo-Link International’s new Headquarters in Salt Lake.

This week I am reading portions of the Chamber Board’s Resolution of Support: The Chamber encourages our members and Utah consumers to continue business as usual, as the best way to demonstrate that this country will not allow terrorism to impact our economic freedoms; The Chamber believes the 2002 Olympic Winter Games will be a great healing event for the nation, and encourages members to support the Olympic Committee and Chamber Olympic programs to ensure that the Games will represent Utah and the nation well and showcase the best of the human spirit.

Here’s an Olympic business fact: The Olympic Medals Plaza features an amphitheater with a double turntable to accommodate the medals presentations and entertainment programming. On each side of the stage will be a huge video screen that will project highlights of athletes’ performances as well as the activity on stage.

The American Express Women & Business Conference is coming up on October 30th. This is the 25th year of this conference. There will be great workshops and also the awarding of the prestigious Athena Award and the Pathfinder Awards. Call the Women’s Business Center at the Chamber at 328-5091 or see us on the web at saltlakechamber.org.
