This week I am reading portions of the Chamber Board’s Resolution of Support: Whereas, the Salt Lake Chamber has been gratified by the tremendous outpouring of patriotism and concern by Utahns and the world;
And, whereas, the Chamber recognizes that terrorism is a direct assault on the freedoms we enjoy; Now be it Resolved: The Chamber supports government incentives as needed to maintain the viability of our excellent air transportation network and the Salt Lake International Airport; The Chamber supports those of our member employees who will be called to defend our country through the Guard and Reserve; And the Chamber directs our Military Affairs Committee to be mobilized to assist the military located in Utah as needed.
Here’s an Olympic business fact: The Olympic Medals Plaza, located between North and South Temple and 200 and 300 West in downtown Salt Lake City, will be the site of a nightly program to honor Olympic athletes and celebrate the Olympic spirit.
