The Salt Lake Area Chamber of Commerce extends its condolences, support, and prayers to the survivors and victims of last week’s terrorist attacks.
Wells Fargo is contributing $1 million to the American Red Cross disaster relief fund to support efforts to assist victims and families of the attack. Information on donating can be found at the Chamber’s website, saltlakechamber.org.
O.C. Tanner, official medals supplier and sponsor for the Olympic Winter Games, has chosen The Intrepid Group, based in Salt Lake, as its Olympic public relations agency. Intrepid Group also represents Marker Clothing, an official sponsor and supplier for the Games.
Here’s an Olympic business fact: Sponsors and Suppliers are companies that provide cash and specific products or services to SLOC in return for marketing rights.
This is a big week for the Chamber. Tomorrow, September 18th, of course, is the Chamber’s 99th Annual Meeting luncheon at 11:30 a.m. at the Salt Lake City Marriott Downtown. Then on Wednesday the 19th at 7:30 a.m. is a Gold Medal Seminar at the Hotel Monaco. The seminar, sponsored by Office Depot, takes a strategic look at customer service. On Thursday the 20th at 5 p.m. is our popular Business After Hours networking event at Regent Assisted Living.
