BALTIMORE (AP) — Art therapists are learning how creative arts can help military veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder.

The American Art Therapy Association's annual conference runs Wednesday through Sunday in Baltimore.

The group says in a statement that several sessions will focus on issues involving military veterans. They include discussions of creative arts workshops, and art therapy groups for veterans traumatized by combat.

The event also includes an art therapy film festival and a studio where participants can respond to the recent mass shooting at an Orlando, Florida, nightclub.
