ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) — Mrazek won the $100,000 Thor's Echo Handicap by 1½ lengths Monday at Santa Anita.

Ridden by Mario Gutierrez, Square Eddie ran six furlongs in 1:09.45 and paid $4.80, $3.40 and $2.60 as the 7-5 favorite.

Love My Bud returned $6.40 and $5.20, while Nardo was another half-length back in third and paid $4 to show.

Mrazek sat behind four dueling horses on the lead before the 3-year-old swung four-wide turning for home.

"He's such an honest horse," trainer Doug O'Neill said. "Seven out of eight times now, he's been first or second."

The victory, worth $60,000, increased Mrazek's earnings to $229,437, with three wins in eight starts.

In the $100,000 Spring Fever Handicap for fillies and mares, Lost Bus rallied three-wide turning for home and took charge on her way to a 2½-length victory.

Ridden by Fernando Perez, Lost Bus ran six furlongs in 1:09.54 and paid $7 and $6.20.

Harlington's Rose returned $11.60, while Codacious was another 1½ lengths back in third. There was no show wagering because of the four-horse field.

Sunday Rules, the 1-5 favorite, finished last, 5½ lengths behind Lost Bus.

The victory, worth $60,000, increased Lost Bus' earnings to $410,818, with five wins in 15 starts.
