This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.

Utah’s healthy economy and continuous population growth have contributed to an ongoing building boom. And that boom has resulted in a greater number of houses and workplace facilities throughout the state. It’s also been good for business—especially those in the title and escrow business.

Well, United Title Services of Utah, Inc. is one that has done well. Known throughout Utah for its professional, accurate and thorough service, the company insures and facilitates the closing of all types of transactions, including new construction, permanent financing, property for resale, refinances, commercial projects, second mortgages and foreclosure reports.

As a full service title insurance and escrow company, United Title Services first opened its doors in 1961 in Bountiful. After having successfully served Davis County for more than two decades, the company expanded in 1985 to the Salt Lake Valley. Since that time, its service area has extended along the entire Wasatch Front and further south to Washington and Sevier counties.

Since expanding, United Title Services has grown from just four employees in one office to 45 employees in six offices. The company’s main office has complete Salt Lake and Davis County title plants, which allow it to complete all orders in house. The title plants are online to provide accurate, updated information instantly. For underwriting services, United Title Services has teamed with First American Title Insurance Company of Santa Ana, Calif., since 1986 and was named “Utah Agent of the Year” in 1996. To enhance the range of products offered, Ticor Title Insurance Company was added as an additional underwriter in January of 1997.

Since 1988, United Title Services has focused on organizing and developing a professional and efficient escrow department to complement the company’s title insurance products. United Title Services currently has four escrow offices strategically located along the Wasatch Front staffed by six licensed escrow officers with an average of over 15 years of experience in either title or escrow industries.

And the company employs qualified and experienced employees who give the best service available. Building boom aside, United Title Services excels in the business of title and escrow services.

For Zions Bank, I’m Fred Ball. I’m speaking on business.
