MANCHESTER, England (AP) — Manchester United says defender Chris Smalling has been hospitalized on the Indonesian island of Bali after suffering from food poisoning.
The Premier League club says the 26-year-old Smalling fainted on Sunday but is "now feeling fine."
United's statement provided no further detail on Smalling's hospital stay.
Smalling is not due to join pre-season training until later this month following England's exit from the European Championship last week.
