Several Salt Lake businesses report personnel changes. Cameron Construction hired Jim Oberndorfer as Vice-President of Construction. Workhouse Architects welcomes Steve Simmons as a principal in the firm. Jensen Haslem Architects made Scott Larkin a principal. Stoel Rives, one of the region’s largest law firms, welcomes five new associates: Mark Carman, Mara Featherstone, Matthew Fleming, Rachelle Fleming, and Evan Morrison.
The Utah Office of Museum Services has awarded 214 grants to museums in Utah.
Love Communications has been chosen by Park’s Sportsman to handle its marketing, promotions, and public relations. Park’s Sportsman is a sporting goods retailer based in Orem.
Here’s an Olympic business fact: This week we are talking about 5 of the 10 Olympic Sports Venues. Deer Valley Resort will host four Olympic alpine skiing events with the men’s and women’s slaloms and combined slaloms. The Freestyle Skiing events of high flying aerials and bump-and-run moguls will also be at the resort.
The Olympics is such a unique event that without training most businesses will not see any tangible benefits. The Chamber’s Gold Medal Seminars teach companies how to profit during the Winter Games.
