Here’s an Olympic business fact: A record 8.7 million people accessed information about the Sydney Olympics from their official website, olympics.com. However, 3.7 billion people watched the Olympics on television—an audience 425 times greater than the Internet audience.

The Salt Lake Area Chamber of Commerce welcomes the new members of its Board of Directors. Joining the board are Bishop H. David Burton of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Paul Child of Deloitte & Touche, Robert Dibblee of Delta Air Lines, Dennis Haslam of the Utah Jazz, Jack Holmes of United Parcel Service, Jack Livingood of Big-D Construction Corporation, Deborah Bayle Nielsen of United Way of the Great Salt Lake Area, Paul Ross of Alliant Tech, John Sutherland of Intel Corporation, and Andrea Wolcott of the Salt Lake City branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. Kem Gardner of the Boyer Company replaces Patricia Richards of Wells Fargo as Chairman of the Board of Governors. Kent Murdock of O.C. Tanner was appointed Vice-Chairman.
