The Utah Microenterprise Loan Fund is holding an orientation on how small business entrepreneurs, especially those who are socially or economically disadvantaged, can obtain small business loans of up to $10,000. The orientation is tomorrow, July 17, at 9:30 a.m. Call 269-8408 to register.
Because of Tropical Storm Allison, the American Red Cross’s funds have reached critically low levels. Donations can be made at www.redcross.org .

Here’s an Olympic business fact: Before the Olympics only 15 percent of Sydney residents thought the transportation system could cope with the Olympics. But during the Olympics in Sydney, only 11 percent of residents experienced any delays in traveling. Of those who did have delays, less than 5 percent had delays longer than half an hour.
