Wasatch Crest Insurance Group announced organizational changes within its related companies. Wasatch Crest Group will focus entirely on workers compensation insurance products. The Wasatch Crest Mutual Insurance Company will concentrate on medical and other insurance programs.

The Utah Office of Hispanic Affairs is seeking to fill two vacant seats on the Hispanic Advisory Council. Interested parties should contact the Office of Hispanic Affairs at 538-8755.

Deer Valley Resort President and General Manager Bob Wheaton announced today that the Resort will invest over $8 million dollars in improvements for the 2001/2002 ski season. The improvements range from increased snowmaking capabilities to completing a brand new lodge.

Here’s an Olympic business fact: Many Utahans are taking direct action in order to take advantage of the Olympics. For example, the Avenues-Capitol Hill Neighborhood Community Councils got together to provide host homes for Olympic Athlete’s families. They are also organizing tours and dinners. Leadership Utah is a ten-month educational program designed to prepare executives to accept the responsibility of leadership in their communities and corporations. Through lectures, discussions, and field trips, participants gain insight into the issues facing Utah and the possible solutions. Deadline for applications is this Friday, July 6th.
