The Carling Jones Agency, a full-service advertising and public relations firm, has opened for business in Bountiful. The agency was started by Teresa Carling and Darren Jones.

Aggreko, the official supplier of temporary power generation and distribution for the Winter Olympics, has selected Cache Valley Electric, a Salt Lake electrical contractor, as a local vendor of choice.

FJCandN has been named advertising agency of record for AT&T Broadband and Sonic Innovations.

ArosNet, a Utah Internet service provider, has expanded its Internet services into Logan and surrounding communities. This includes high-speed and dial-up Internet access.

Here’s an Olympic business fact: This week we are reviewing the different locations of the 2002 Cultural Olympiad Venues. Three of the cultural venues are The Browning Center for the Performing Arts in Ogden, Peery’s Egyptian Theater in Ogden, and Legacy Center in Farmington.

The Chamber honors Spence Eccles this Thursday, June 28th, as A Giant In Our City. Spence was born in Ogden on August 24, 1934. After graduating from Ogden High School, Spence earned a degree in banking from the University of Utah. He served as an officer in the Army Infantry and then obtained a master’s degree in banking and finance from Columbia University in 1958.
