ATHOL, Idaho (AP) — Josh and Caren Spencer are challenging themselves to eat only locally sourced foods for 30 days. They have to eat out of their garden, catch fish, and forage for berries and mushrooms. They are not allowed to buy food either, they must trade for it.
BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Three of the six top Idaho executives took pay cuts in 2015, but their salaries still dwarfed the average Idaho wage. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics says the average Idaho salary was $38,792 in 2015. The Idaho Statesman reports the top compensation for Idaho executives went to Micron's Mark Durcan, who made $9.4 million last year after a pay cut.
LEWISTON, Idaho (AP) — A northern Idaho defense attorney says using a drug dog at a traffic stop is overreaching and illegal. The Lewiston Tribune reports that attorney Joanna McFarland argued Thursday that her client should have been released after Lewiston police officers cleared him of driving under the influence last summer.
BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Officials with the Ada County coroner's office have announced they will hold a memorial for nearly 60 unclaimed remains on Monday. According to the county, the coroner's office has spent hours trying to contact family members who can claim their loved one remains.
