Did you know Utah has a London Connection? That’s right, and it’s located in one of my favorite cities—my hometown of Ogden.
For anyone with a wild imagination, The London Connection sounds almost like a direct tunnel passage to the Queen’s city. But it is in fact a way to see London without paying exorbitant prices on hotels and travel. Travelers get to experience the city as a Londoner would. That’s because The London Connection offers specially selected private apartments, houses and cottages to holiday travelers and to business people. It also provides suggestions for sightseeing and travel itineraries. As Tom Moore, the company’s president says, being in a European city in a private residence offers an opportunity to experience accommodations which are filled with personal charm, fine antiques, wonderful art and incredible locations.
As a California native living in Ogden, Tom started working with private flats when he discovered that he could rent his own properties in central London. So, he did. And demand to rent his flats grew. Before long, his London friends began to offer their own personal properties for rent through his company.
It was 1985 when Tom got “connected” so to speak, and since then, his company has evolved into a unique operation with experience in travel, property management and group tours. Besides London, the company arranges for flats in Amsterdam, Paris, Gloucestershire and Rome.
The London Connection has grown rapidly. Tom says it’s because of teamwork, an excellent clientele and the fact that his company works hard to organize successful trips.
