PATERSON, N.J. (AP) — A former substitute teacher has admitted engaging in sexual activity with underage students and texting them sexually explicit photos.

Linda Hardan pleaded guilty Wednesday to one count of sexual assault and two counts of child endangerment. She faces up to five years in prison when she's sentenced Sept. 30 and will have to register as a sex offender.

Hardan also must surrender her substitute-teacher license.

The 22-year-old Hardan worked as a substitute teacher in Haledon and at Manchester Regional High School in North Haledon.

Authorities say two of the victims were 16-year-old boys, while another was 14. She met all the victims while working at schools they attended.

Hardan remains free on $200,000 bail she posted shortly after her arrest in November 2014.
