BELLEFONTE, Pa. (AP) — A former central Pennsylvania high school teacher is heading to prison after he was convicted of changing the grades of female students in exchange for nude pictures.
The Centre Daily Times (http://bit.ly/1TKIOeP ) reports that 28-year-old Wesley Amy of Bellefonte was sentenced to two to four years behind bars. He was convicted in Centre County in October of criminal attempt related to sexual abuse and corruption of minors.
Authorities alleged that Amy, who taught at State College High School for seven months, offered several female students higher grades in return for nude pictures. Three girls testified that Amy encouraged them to cut classes and send him photos and, in return, gave them grades they didn't earn. He was arrested after one of the students told a friend, who told a parent.
